I don’t have a problem with there being so many horror movie remakes. Some of my favorite movies are remakes (The Hills Have Eyes and Dawn of the Dead). So does Fright Night join the ranks of great horror movie remakes or is it just another one to add to the pile of mediocrity.

The acting walks the line between good and average, the story is standard vampire movie material and the effects won’t knock your socks off. Where Fright Night gains its strength is in the characters, they are all likable and even though the acting is average the characters carry the movie.

While it won’t be mentioned along side the great horror movie remakes, Fright Night is good fun and isn’t a waste of time.
